"I need to get some red wigglers to start my rabbit vermiculture project.  Anyone with an established colony willing to give some of those little buggers up?  I'd need enough to establish 2 medium size totes."

"Hi Daniel,  I saw that you were asking about whether you can leave red worms out in our cold weather.  I leave mine outside all year and have never had a problem.  Mine are pretty established with lots of bedding/compost scraps. "

Getting your workplace to compost. A learning curve.

When I asked my boss if we could get a green bin and start utilizing the city composting program, he responded with "Do it."  So I did.  With a staff of just under a dozen in the SOMA hood one might ask where is the value in trying to compost our lunch leftovers?  Decreasing what hits the landfill is the most significant environmentally.  Having the people in your work envirnonment learn and participate is even more personally rewarding!I can't tell you how proud I am when that green bin gets…See More

Hi Shelly- I thought you were out of the wine business! I signed up for this thinking "if Shelly's on it, it can 't be all bad"

Anyway- where have you landed. I notice you have chickens. The new hot pet that actually contributes to households.

Hope you're well

Arden

Thanks for the invite. Yes, margaritas sounds good. We are planning a sitting area for the Scott campus with some troughs with trees and benches. I will send sketches to the group soon. I am sorry I have missed the planning sessions for Madison. Sounds like there are some new parents involved which is great. Maybe a large group gathering for both GSY campuses would be fun. Set the time and place...
