Veggie Giveaway Group

The Veggie Giveaway program takes donated food that would otherwise go to waste and gives it away to any in-need community members. The Veggie Giveaway takes place at the corner of Sacramento and Alcatraz in the front waiting room of the LifeLong Over 60 Health Center, a clinic specializing in helping an underserved, aging population.

Since its beginning in October 2010, this program has become immensely popular: we provide a bag of produce for around 80 households every week. Right now we are looking for ways to ensure the program's sustainability and longevity, mainly through more community involvement.
