Your Connection to Bay Area Local Food and Sustainable Living

Question:  Not food-related, but related to sustainable living.  Would others be interested in a group for bartering services?  I have decades of experience in things like preserving food, making food from scratch (bread, fermentation, tofu/tempeh/cheese, etc.), fiberarts (knitting, sewing, crochet, bobbin lace, dying with natural dyes, etc.), and miscellaneous other skills (welding, programming, etc.)  It occurs to me that others might be interested in skill-sharing.  And also along those lines, there is a skill-sharing workshop coming up in Santa Cruz shortly.  Would there be any interest in having one in the East Bay?  I believe Albany is trying to do something like this occasionally, possibly through Transition Albany.

Hi J., I think this could be a successful group if you want to start it.  Also, can you send a link to the skillshare group in Santa Cruz so we can check it out.  Thanks

I'm afraid I can't agree.  In my experience a bartering group needs a certain number of people to be successful and, so far, nobody has expressed an interest.

However, here is the link to the Santa Cruz Reskilling Expo.  I think it looks very interesting and would urge those interested to go and report back.
